India skipper Virat Kohli was in his elements in Sydney on Tuesday as he batted in full flow in the nets ahead of the Adelaide Test against Australia which begins from December 17. Apart from Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha and even KL Rahul were seen grinding it out in the nets in Sydney.

The Indian cricket team will play its first overseas Day/night Test match against Australia this week. Australia has won each of their four day-night Test matches so far while India has played just one pink-ball Test to date.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a glimpse of the practice session on Twitter with the caption, "The grind never stops #TeamIndia sweat it out in the nets ahead of the 1st Test against Australia beginning December 17 #AUSvIND."

In another video shared by BCCI, Indian players were seen having fun. The first part of the activity involved pushing each other in pairs in a model somewhat similar to wrestling while the second activity saw players working on their catching skills. The third one was about agility as two players fought it out to be the first to pick a cone that was placed on the ground.

India had won the first and third Tests in Adelaide and Melbourne on their last tour to Australia to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. They will be looking to repeat those performances this time as well but it will be easier said than done for Kohli's side as Australia have Steve Smith and David Warner in their ranks now unlike the last time when they were serving their one year ball-tampering bans.
